08: SELF CARE IN YOUR PJS

In episode 06 I told you I went away BY MYSELF.  

I had hit my limit in a major way and desperately needed a deep reset. 

I spent FOUR days and THREE nights with myself at the seriously magical Miraval in the Berkshires.

It was a big investment in myself and you know what? It was worth everything and more. I got there and was filled with inspiration, insight, and calm.

I was finally filling up instead of pouring out.

I know I have a flair for the dramatic, but I’m not kidding when I say I came home different.

I talk about this more in episode 06: Revolutionizing Motherhood and share the insights I gained there. 

The thing is, as much as I wish this weren’t the case, going to Miraval every month, or moving there as I wish I could, isn’t practical or sustainable, I came home with a renewed commitment toward working moments of self care into every day.

So today’s episode is all about my favorite ways to incorporate moments FOR MYSELF even if I can’t be BY MYSELF.

This way each day has a moment, or two, of refilling my cup (even if it’s not to the top), instead of everything pouring out.

There’s even some pelvic floor talk in this episode which I know you have all been waiting for!

And while I will certainly be over here chomping at the bit to get back to Miraval ASAP, I am sharing with you how I start my day with a win, creating space for the feelings of quiet, calm, and rest that I found there, all before getting out of bed!

I also brought home a candle from there so that helps too.
